We are a group of researchers working in semigroups and related areas, at the Department of Mathematics, University of Manchester. We host weekly seminars on Fridays. We are also a member of the North British Semigroups and Applications Network (NBSAN), and are a regular host of the network's meetings.

Professor Mark Kambites has recently been appointed as an inaugural Fellow of the Academy for the Mathematical Sciences, a new national body established to bring together the UK’s strongest mathematicians to help solve some of the UK’s biggest challenges. Read more here.
